The Betsy are hand built by Caintuck Audio in the US. The open baffle speaker is 22.5 inches high X 18 inches wide and has a rear mounted box which is 12 inches deep. The driver is a Wild Burro Audio Labs Betsy 8” full range. They have a handle on the back for easy moving and sound great right on the floor - no stands needed. The Caintuck Audio Betsy open baffle speakers use the 8-inch Wild Burro Audio Labs Betsy driver. As for cabling, just use the interconnects included with the CD player. Then get a spool of Radio Shack stranded copper 16 gauge speaker wire for $20.

I will be playing around more with open baffle soon bc i got very good results with the 8" drivers i had on hand (pioneer b20, wild burro betsy and the TB 1808). I think it's bc on open baffle these drivers play down to about 150 - 250hz and the helper woofers on open baffle reach up that high to blend nicely.

Nov 08, 2015 · Today "Betsy" has arrived. I have imported them from the wild wild west. Wild Burro Audio Labs is the company making them and I will put them into an open baffle. The wood, actually MDF, is already waiting in the garage. I have attached the drivers to an amp and started breaking them in.
